Explain this week's store results

Output

Harbor & Pine's revenue rose 10% because orders increased, while average order value stayed flat. Cascade Merino Crew and Alder Wool Throw accounted for the entire net increase.

Compared September 7–13 with August 31–September 6, 2026. Revenue here means sales after discounts and refunds, excluding tax and shipping.

MetricSep 7–13Aug 31–Sep 6Change
Revenue$22,000$20,000+10%
Orders220200+10%
Average order value$100$1000%

Conversion could not be calculated because session counts were unavailable. More orders alone does not establish better conversion.

The $2,000 revenue increase breaks down three ways, each describing the same increase:

  • Products: Cascade Merino Crew added $1,400 and Alder Wool Throw added $600. Other products were unchanged in aggregate.
  • Channels: Email-attributed sales added $1,500 and direct sales added $500. Other channels were unchanged in aggregate.
  • Days: Monday added $1,200 and Tuesday added $800 against the corresponding weekdays. The remaining days were unchanged in aggregate.

Discounted orders remained 20% of orders, rising from 40 to 44. WELCOME10 was the only code used in either period, with no change in its 10% rate. There was no shift in discount mix to explain the growth. Channel attribution describes recorded sales, not proof that email caused the increase.

Automation steps. The agent follows these 3 steps each time it runs, using your connected store.

  1.   1

Compare my store's last 7 days with the previous 7: revenue, orders, average order value, and conversion rate if available.

  2.   2

For changes of more than a few percent, look at the products, channels, discounts, and days that account for them.

  3.   3

Start with a short explanation of the results.

Adjust the automation in Chat

Run this automation and tell the agent what to do differently. Ask it to schedule that version if you want the changes in future runs.

  • Compare each week with the same week last year.
  • Break out revenue and orders by product category.
  • Only investigate changes above 10%.

Fieldwork emails the scheduled report. Each email links to the full run as a conversation in Fieldwork. The automation asks the agent to keep a log in your knowledge base and read it before each run to check what has changed.

Adjustable schedule

Choose how often it runs at setup, from hourly to monthly. Ask in Fieldwork chat for a custom schedule and timezone.

Only useful reports

When nothing needs attention, the run skips the email. When there are findings, you get a report with a link to the full conversation.

Read-only access

The agent reads your store without changing the source. It can keep notes and a run log in your Fieldwork knowledge base.

This automation reads your store. Connect Shopify, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce to Fieldwork. The automation uses whichever you connect.

Questions about this automation.

How do I set it up?
Connect Shopify, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce, then choose weekly reports or run it in chat. Weekly runs occur every seven days from activation.
Will it change my store or create drafts?
Scheduled runs have read-only store access. This automation reports results and does not create message drafts.
Can I change what it compares?
Ask in chat for different comparison periods, product breakdowns, or thresholds. Ask to schedule that adjusted version for future reports.
How will I receive the report?
Scheduled reports arrive by email with a link to the full conversation. When a run finds nothing needing attention, it sends neither email nor push notification.
